Pick your own blueberries at Blueberry Hill Farm Blueberry Hill Farm

Our kids have enjoyed picking blueberries on this Meyer Family Farm for several summers. It is far from any roads, quiet and peaceful. Blueberry bushes provide ample shade and are big enough for even adults to take refuge under them. Berries include several varieties and are delicious.

Grafton Village Hiking Trails Grafton Village Cheese Factory

1st Location: Brattleboro, next to Retreat Farm.
On certain days visitors can observe cheese making process through glass windows. Large gift shop.

2nd Location: Historic Grafton Village (large gift shop next to Olde Tavern).
Bring a picnic, explore a nearby covered bridge and easy paths winding through Grafton Village along large grassy pastures. Kids will enjoy feeding cows and sheep and locating frogs and tadpoles in a small pond. Grafton village has lots of things to explore: a playground, hiking trails, small Natural History Museum, blacksmith shop, Mack's Place Eatery and more.

Great petting zoo! Emus, goats, lambs, cows, horses, donkeys, pigs, llamas, rabbits, chicks. Kids can feed the animals, hold chicks hatched on that day, visit the hen-house. Unique grain silo sandbox filled with dried corn instead of sand! Our kids had a blast! Plus large play area filled with sawdust pile with tricycles, toys and some educational materials related to farming and animals. Large network of easy walking trails is nearby. Grafton Cheese Factory facility opened in 2008. See how the cheddar is made (weekdays only) and sample it afterwards (anytime).

Directions: in Springfield bear right at McDonald's along Rt. 11E, proceed until bank & cinema on your left, turn left after cinema, take left at the fork (steep uphill), pass by cemetery, follow signs to Cherry Hill Farm.

Working farm with a mission to teach sustainable forest and farmland management. Stop by the visitors center (bathrooms, maps, maple syrup tasting). Explore the farm, its crops, its animals and farming practices. Stop by the sugar house. Admire unbelievable views for miles around! Traverse hiking and nature trails (ask for a map). Bring your own food if you plan to spend a full day.
